NCF’s number 19 newsletter is published

NCF is happy to inform that our 19th newsletter is now published. The newsletter includes an article about the German States forest which is being planted in the Negev, a brief of the latest news from the Negev, a list of demolitions which occurred during the last couple of months, updates on NCF’s Arab-Jewish cultural center, the Multaka-Mifgash, activities, and the ‘Please Recognize’ section which focuses this time on the village of Umm Alhiran.

Protesters Detained and Injured during Demonstrations against Prawer Plan around the Country

On Monday, July 15th, demonstrations were held all around the country against Prawer Plan, where tens of protesters were detained. In Be’er-Sheva, 14 protesters were detained; most of them were released after appealing against their remand.

Marking Three Years for the Demolition of Al-Arakib

On Saturday, July 27th, we will mark three years for the first demolition of the village of Al-Arakib. A march will be held at the village at 7 pm.

The Photo-Exhibition “Recognized” – a Selection of Photographs by the Children of A-Sir – is Now Open in Jaffa and Lod

We invite you to view the exhibition “Recognized”, a collection of photos taken by the children of the Bedouin unrecognized village of A-Sir, near Be’er-Sheva Prison. The children participated in a photography project which documented the life in the village, held by Negev Coexistence Forum in cooperation with the village’s committee and volunteer photographers during January 2013.

You can find the exhibition in Jaffa – at the Arab-Hebrew Theatre in Jaffa (10 Mifratz Shlomo St.) until the end of July.

And in Lod –  at Noam Center, Ramat Eshkol Neighborhood, 7 Mahane Kafrisin St.

The village of Al-Arakib was demolished for the 50 time – the struggle continues – weekly protest every Sunday

Stop house demolitions!

The village of Al-Arakib was demolished on Tuesday, July 16th, for the 50 time. Join the weekly protest of the village of Al-Arakib, every Sunday at 4:30 pm at Lehavim junction, in solidarity with the residents of the village, to protest against the demolition policy of the government.

Demolitions

08-05-24 - Wādī al-Khālīl, an unrecognized village near Shoket Junction, was entirely demolished. Only one house remains above the ruins, and it has received a demolition order.

01-04-24 - 28.03 – Wādī al-Khālīl is an unrecognized village near Shoket Junction: A house was demolished and its residents were asked to relocate to a different city.
