Ramadan is Over, Eid Alfiter Passed – House Demolition Policy is back

Only a couple of days passed since Eid Alfiter, and the Israeli Government already renewed its house demolition policy toward its Bedouin citizens in the Negev-Naqab.

Yesterday, Wednesday August 14, 3 houses and another structure were demolished in the Bedouin town of Kseife. Today, Thursday August 15, two houses were demolished in the Bedouin recognized village of Abo-Krenat, and the Bedouin unrecognized village of Al-Arakib was demolished for the 51st time.

In addition, earlier this week demolition orders were distributed, on Monday, at the Bedouin recognized village of Bir-Hadaj, and on Tuesday, five demolition orders were handed at the Bedouin unrecognized village of Sawawin.

Demolitions

08-05-24 - Wādī al-Khālīl, an unrecognized village near Shoket Junction, was entirely demolished. Only one house remains above the ruins, and it has received a demolition order.

01-04-24 - 28.03 – Wādī al-Khālīl is an unrecognized village near Shoket Junction: A house was demolished and its residents were asked to relocate to a different city.
