Al-Arakib Village Committee | The Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality
Since the first demolition one year ago, the village of Al-Arakib has been destroyed 24 in the past year.
We will meet on Wednesday, July 27th 2011 at 18:30 at the Lehavim Junction to conduct a protest vigil and torches march
we will pass the night by hearing stories from the people of Al-Arakib,
whose village was destroyed exactly one year ago!
In protest of the continuing house demolitions, of the State of Israel’s continuing neglect and abuse of its citizens who live in Al-Arakib and other unrecognized villages in the Negev in difficult living conditions, of the continuing violation of the basic civil right to housing and of international conventions, and of the growing power of the Jewish National Fund, which expropriates the Bedouin people from their ‘s lands day after day by means of massive afforestation.
No more house demolitions! No to expropriation!
