Every year, during the winter holiday of the Arab schools in the Negev, NCF holds its annual photography workshop for the kids of the Bedouin unrecognized villages in cooperation with many volunteer photographers.
This year, the workshop took place in the Bedouin unrecognized village of Rakhameh, with 15 kids who participated in our 10 days workshop. During the workshop, volunteer photographers, including Miki Kratsman, Amit Sha’al, Avi Levi and Shaxaf Haber, arrived at the village and taught the children how to use the camera. The children studied how to take photos in motion, portraits, and how to take advantage of light while they photograph.
At the end of the workshop the kids received the cameras so they will keep photographing and documenting their lives.
This year, we managed to fund our photography workshop through a successful crowdfunding project – We would like to thank all of the project supporters, who made it a reality!
