Detainees were released, indictments were filed – updates from the Be’er-Sheva protest

During the protest against Prawer Plan in Be’er-Sheva last week, 14 protesters were arrested. After couple of days, they were all released to house arrests. Earlier this week, the police filed indictments against 5 of the protesters.

NCF demands the state to immediately stop using indictments in order to intimidate its citizens who peacefully and legally protest against a plan which discriminate them, and to restrict their freedom of speech.

Join the upcoming protests against the plan – on August 1st!

The main event will be held in Lehavim Junction at 4 pm.
